From Bloomfield Beauty Bar to Wavelengths Laser Loft
Wavelengths Laser Loft began its journey in late 2024 under the name Bloomfield Beauty Bar. But within just six months, it became clear that the name needed to evolve. There were a few key reasons for this transformation:
Reason 1: Too Close for Comfort
The name “Bloomfield Beauty Bar” was often confused with other local businesses like Bloom Laser Clinic and Beauty Bar Halifax, creating potential branding conflicts and client confusion.
Reason 2: Tied to a Location
The name referenced Bloomfield Street, but I realized that I might not always be based here. I wanted a brand that could move with me, rather than be anchored to one address.
Step 3: Clarity and Focus
Bloomfield Beauty Bar sounded like a full-service salon. In reality, I operate a highly specialized, home-based studio from my loft apartment, dedicated exclusively to laser hair removal.
Thus, Wavelengths Laser Loft Was Born
My Mission
At Wavelengths Laser Loft, my mission is simple:
To provide accessible, affirming, and advanced laser hair removal for all bodies and backgrounds—without judgment, pressure, or pretense.
I believe laser hair removal should be:
✅ Transparent: no confusing packages, no fine print, and no upsells.
✅ Inclusive: every body, identity, and experience is welcome here.
✅ Effective: using cutting-edge technology for safe, visible results on all skin tones.
All About Me
Hi! I’m Kiran, your laser tech, cheerleader, and slightly nerdy beauty auntie—running this cozy little studio solo to make hair removal easier, safer, and way more empowering for everyone.

I opened this business not just because I love what I do—but because I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, embarrassed, or overlooked. I struggled with unwanted hair for most of my life. I’ve lived the frustration, the dysphoria, the trial-and-error of every method out there. That’s what makes this more than just a job for me—it’s personal.
I’m a queer, neurodivergent woman of colour. My practice reflects those values. It’s inclusive, low-pressure, and body-positive. I accommodate fat and disabled clients, I never sell unnecessary products or packages, and I use only medical-grade, triple-wavelength laser technology that works safely across all skin tones.

You’ll find no upselling here. Just results—and respect.
